Underline Function buggy

NervAP

Idea

The underline function for Mac is buggy. I've been using Evernote for years now, but I'm getting a bit annoyed with the underline function.

Using the keyboard shortcut for underline (ctrl+u), it works when turning it on, but turning underline off doesn't work. When you start a go to the next line (press enter/return) and turn off underline function doesn't work. And even after turning it off on the bar, when you press tab, it turns on again it leaves an underlined area where you tab... It's starting to becoming annoying especially if you're at a university, trying to keep note organized while trying to type fast to keep up with the professor...

Somebody, Please Fix It!!!

Mac Details:
MacOS High Sierra (10.13.3)

MacBook Air (13-inch, Mid 2012)

Evernote Version 7.1 + Clipper.

I'm raising this issue, as well, as it's the single most irritating issue with Evernote, IMO.  Every other word/note application works, in this regard, and remembers when you turn underline/bold off.  Yet, Evernote insists on turning it back on, again...every single time.  Turn it off, go to paste something in, and it's underlined/bolded.  So, we have to mark the stuff we didn't want underlined/bolded, and click the buttons again.

In 2018, I read an article about how Evernote was struggling, and while I still love the application, many commenters suggested they ditched it because "Simple things didn't work" and "wouldn't listen to their users".  Please listen to us on this issue.

Thanks, Jim
