Can't open notes from widget

Since I upgraded my phone to Android Oreo 8 and I have been unable at most times to open a note from the widget. I keep pressing on a note, but it doesn't open. I had to remove the widget and get it back again so I can open my notes again, but the problem persists.

 

Please can you fix this issue? My phone model is Sony Xperia A1

Hi.  Hard to know whether this is an Evernote issue or an update hiccup.

Standard tech for a mobile issue is to uninstall the app,  restart the 'phone and reinstall both app and widget.  That might reinstate the expected behaviour.  If it doesn't,  that could be a feature that Evernote have yet to offer in Android 8.  I'm running a current Evernote Android beta, so a new app version should be making an entrance soon.

This issue has been under discussion for awhile:

 

A number of people have found the problem to be related to the list of apps being monitored for power consumption.
