At least in the Windows program, there are no paragraph style settings; the editor is designed more for basic note-taking than for sophisticated document formatting. That said, it's pretty standard (in the Windows world, anyway), for any styling, such as highlighting or italics, to continue into the next typed text unless explicitly turned off. You'll need to click the highlight icon or press Ctrl+Shift+H. Again, this applies to the Windows program. Link to comment
