How to disable autoformatting in Evernote?

I have EN 6.11.2 in Win 10 Pro.

I prefer plain text formatting in EN, because I do a lot of copying to emails, Word, and so on. It seems to me that all these secondary programs render formatting in different ways. Even different forums have different methods of rendering formatting.

I seem to remember a few months ago that EN translated "-----" into a single full-page line. But I'm sure I found an option to disable that feature. So far, it has not returned. Maybe I'm thinking about a different forum :-)

Now, I'm trying to avoid translating "space-dash-space" into a bullet, complete with indentation.

I think a developer should be free to use whatever defaults she prefers, but I also think that there should be options to opt out of ANY or ALL defaults.
