Evernote Webclipper not working in Safari

I don't use it a lot, but it has always worked in the past. When I click the web clipper symbol, nothing at all happens.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. I have the latest updates of all software including MacOS 10.13.3.  I see there are other similar posts, but no one has posted a solution that I see.  Any help would be appreciated.  The ability to clip and save webpages to my notebooks is the primary reason I have a paid Evernote account.  Without that ability, I will probably drop it.
