Selecting Multiple tags in Android

Can someone teach me how to select multiple tags on the Android based app? 

I'm in the process of switching to organising by tags instead of notebooks. 

However, if I can't select by multiple tags in the Android app, wouldnt that absolutely defeat the purpose of having tags vis-a-vis notebooks?

From the main Evernote screen, swipe right to expose the pull-out panel, and select Tags

Your top-level tags will be shown, or you can search for a tag. Select one to view notes with that tag immediately, or long-press a tag to bring up a list of tags that also have the tag you just long-pressed on. Select one of those, and you can tap on "View Notes" in the upper right hand corner to see the notes that have those two tags, or you can keep selecting other tags
