Evernote Windows trashing harddrive, not displaying content.

Currently running Evernote 6.10.3.6921 on Windows 10.

 

I notice when Evernote is open, the hard-drive starts to thrash, the mouse continuially switches from arrow-point to 'waiting' circle, and none of the contents of my notes appear.

(Mouse cursor continues to 'flash' even when Evernote is not the focus app.  But kill Evernote and the flashing stops.)

 

I've deleted, reboot, and reinstall - still the same.  Seems to have only happened with the latest upgrade as I haven't noticed it previously.

 

Any suggestions?
