PDF annotation slow and now not working

When I annotated the first time it was very very slow. I could only managed to get an Arrow onto the pdf.

Then I restarted Evernote. Now it doesn't even launch annotation.

 

Bummed! It was the reason I upgraded to Premium.

We have the basic plan and over the last couple of weeks the speed has gone from normal to almost stopped. If you want to delete or add text, you insert the cursor hit the key pad to add  or delete 10 characters the screen waits from 5 to 10 seconds starts and stops and starts and stops until the 10 characters, delete or new text is done. It is the same thing with copying or pasting, only the wait is longer, more like 20 seconds. Almost impossible to use.
