guycruls 3 Posted February 25, 2018 Share Posted February 25, 2018 first time I see a notebook greyed out in Evernote for Windows (8.1). Right-clicking, the dialog tells me it's a local notebook... How'd that happen that it doesn't sync with my other devices (iphone and ipad), and how do I fix it? Many thanks Link to comment

You may have accidentally created this notebook by doing File > New Local Notebook instead of File > New Notebook--they're easy to confuse. A local notebook by definition is local to the computer it was created on; it doesn't sync to other devices. Unfortunately, once a notebook is made local, you can't change it to a synced notebook. You'd have to create a new synced (normal) notebook and move all the notes from the local notebook into it. PS. Love your avatar! Link to comment
