Add tags to multiple notes - Buggy!

I do have some problems when editing the tags of multiple notes. Evernote randomly removes my text input. I captured this weird behavior in a gif - see for yourself. Anyone having similar issues?

I am having this problem on my mac also. Is there a solution?

Problem persists in the macOS client as shown in the gif from the OP in version:

Version 7.14 (458244 Direct)
Editor: 69.3.10951 (15add1e)

A side effect of this is the accidental deletion of previously added tags. When this happens, the selected notes disappear from the middle panel, and progress I've made in organizing notes by tags is lost entirely.

What gives, guys? For me, this renders tagging unusable and an irrelevant feature. I've been struggling with this for months expecting it to be patched somewhere along the way.
