atweed 0
I know that EN can use the gps in a mobile phone and trap the value for geo-locating. The problem is that my phone has a lousy camera and I would like to use something with better quality. I have ordered a gps unit (and software) that logs locations and embeds the lat-long in the EXIF part of the jpg image. I understand this is a jpg standard format. Can EN detect this information and properly populate the location info? Thanks Link to comment
BurgersNFries 2,407
I don't think EN looks at any of the meta data in jpegs that are "imported" from other sources. Link to comment

engberg 89
When the service receives a note with a JPEG, it will pull out any GPS data from the EXIF extension, but this data doesn't necessarily migrate back down to the original client that added the JPEG. There are bugs filed to make the clients look at these extensions to pull latitude and longitude from the EXIF as well. Thanks Link to comment
