@CAJensen  Thanks for the report. Please try these steps to fix this:

  1.  Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Evernote 
  2. Right-Click the evernote.exe file found in the "Program Files (x86)" folder. 
  3. Select **Send To > Desktop (Create Shortcut**
  4. Delete the original Evernote shortcut
  5. Click the newly created evernote.exe shortcut to open Evernote
