Handwriting on Note 8 is choppy, slow response

On my new Note 8, when I select handwriting, the S Pen responds slowly while writing.  If I write on S Note, or Sketches, or Google Keep, the ink responds as expected.

However, on Evernote, the ink is waaaaay behind the pen stroke.  Is anyone else experiencing this?

Hi.  I'm well behind the times with a Note 4,  so can't comment on the 8,  but in my version of S Note it is possible to create a note there and have it sync back to a notebook in Evernote.  That might help you if things are erratic for the moment.  With a mobile device the only fix available is just to uninstall and reinstall the app in case that might help - otherwise you can reach out to Support directly on https://www.evernote.com/SupportLogin.action if you're a paying customer,  tweet https://twitter.com/evernotehelps if not.
