After installing EN on a new Mac, only notes up to a certain date are synched.

I recently got a new Mac and installed Evernote. Evernote started synching, but only notes through May, 2016 are visible.

I checked on Evernote Web and confirmed that I have thousands of notes after that date.

I hit the Sync button and EN told me it syncs automatically and did nothing. I moved the app to the Trash, restarted the computer, and re-installed EN. My notes through May 2016 showed up instantly, which makes me believe that the app did not fully delete, even though "Trash + restart" was the way I've read online to reinstall EN.

Thoughts? How do I force EN to sync with the online DB?
