Search is inefficient for the most part

Premium user on a Mac here, have been using EN for years now. When I am searching for something in my notes, I usually get many choices, most of which do not seem to find what I want. I use tags, so why am I getting so many results that do not even fit my search? It's really inefficient and makes it difficult to find what I want.

I also get false hits on text searches

Solutions I use are
- use intitle: searches
- use multiple search terms
- order by update date when I have a good idea of the note's date range

Generally, I use tags to provide a more precise view of my notes

You'll need to be more specific about the searches you are using, and what results you're getting vs. what you expect...
