VincentVegas 1
Hi. For many weeks now whenever I start Evernote on my desktop or laptop it tells me that it configures itself, which takes some seconds and then the desktop icon is moved to a default location. Why is this happening? Regards Thomas Link to comment

Find the Evernote executable in Windows Explorer (C:\Program Files (x86)\Evernote\Evernote) and right click it. Choose Send To, and Desktop (create shortcut). Then delete your previous icon. VincentVegas 1
This helped, thanks. That icon was from the original install. Strange thing is that there is no valid path in the target field, but the string "Evernote v. 6.7.5"... on both Windows systems. Link to comment

Level 5* gazumped 11,652 Posted October 23, 2017 Level 5* Share Posted October 23, 2017 Nope - that works fine. I actually never use it normally (I just tested it) - I have a start menu link for daily use. Link to comment
