PDF annotation on ipad crashes depending on size of document (assumption)

dear all

 

after having evernote is crashing whenever i try to go into annotation mode with a specific document (approx. 200 pages) i tried a number of other PDFs. it seems to me that pdf annotation is only possible with very small documents. bigger documents crash consistently ("crash" meaning the app exits without further notice).

can someone support this observation?

if so...hm...any plan to resolve this?

I'm even having issues annotating short documents on my iPad now. The app repeatedly crashes when I make a single annotation.

Previously I worked around the issue by putting my app in airplane mode while annotating, but that workaround no longer helps with the latest iOS and app versions.

I have the same issue. I am a premium subscriber specifically to be able to annotate and organise files. It would be great to be able to go back to the good old days of when everything worked.

I am having the same problem. It occurs with all documents. It seems like the large documents crash instantly. The smaller ones crash when I first try to annotate (underline a passage, write a note, etc.)
