hi, how do i use the capture screen shortcut?

Recommended Posts

when I press win+ shift+  s, the screen darkens and I get a cursor that I can drag into a rectangular shape to select the area I want to capture on the screen.  but afterwards, nothing is clipped to evernote.  what do I have to do after I select the area I want to capture?    I have evernote basic for windows, version 6.7.5.   thanx.

Change the Evernote hotkey. Win-Shift-S is the default clip shortcut for Windows 10 and it just copies to the clipboard. Tools|Options|Shortcut keys.

Or leave it as is, then go to your note and press CTRL-V (Paste) to paste in what you just clipped to the Win10 clipboard.

In addition to what @EdH said, see posts by Evernote staffer @dconnet in the following topics:

So Win+Shift+S isn't available to Evernote. But you could change it to Win+Ctrl+S right-clicking on the notification area's Evernote icon, and using Options / Configure Shortcut Keys to modify the clipper's shortcut.
