How do I ensure PNG files are named sequentially in the order they were taken?

Used the Evernote app yesterday to photograph/scan 32 pages of documents that I then planned to save on PC, move into Acrobat and create a nice convenient PDF file.

In the app, the document photos are in the perfect order.

However after 'saving attachments' to the relevant folder, they're named in a somewhat haphazard fashion, and then trying to get them in the correct order is an absolute nightmare! I've ordered them by name, date created, date modified and everything else but I still get the documents in totally the wrong order. 

Any help welcome.

You can use the rename function to apply more meaningful naming
