(Archived) Sync Exceptions using 1.9.0 on Mac

Using version 1.9.0 on the mac and every-time I sync, I get a "Synchronization Failure" with the following message:

Evernote is unable to connect with the Evernote Service. This may be due to a network problem or service maintenance. Please try again later. If enabled, automatic synchronization will resume once the Service becomes available.

FYI: I also use evernote for iPhone

I think you may be using OS X version 10.5.6 or earlier. This version has a bug in the OS that breaks the current version of Evernote. I'd recommend that you upgrade to either 10.5.8 (free from Apple), or to Snow Leopard (10.6).

I am using OSX 10.5.6, and I will try updating as you suggest, thanks.

If you hare having a problem on OS X 10.5.8, then it may be a different issue. You can open a support inquiry at the bottom of:

http://www.evernote.com/about/contact/support/

We'll want to see the last few lines of the Activity Log after a failed sync.

I am having the same problem on OSX 10.6.4. When I try to sync I get the following:

"Evernote is unable to connect with the Evernote Service. This may be due to a network problem or service maintenance. Please try again later. If enabled, automatic synchronization will resume once the Service becomes available."

I am using 1.10.0 version of EN, but recently had the same problem on 1.9

You're probably having a different underlying problem. After a failed sync, you could check for more information in:

Help > Activity Log...

I was able to get it fixed by re indexing the library folder. This is what was recommended by tech support.
