Mac safari clipper not working

This has not been working for over a month now. I will have to leave Evernote behind without this web clipping capability.

1. Is there any evidence this problem is being worked on by Evernote?

2. Is One Note the best replacement solution?

I have spent hours going thru various postings on how to fix Evernote clipper not working in Safari with no joy. SOLUTION: use Chrome. The only way to get Apple to do something is with economic force.
