Crashing Bouncing Beach Ball

In the past 2 weeks I get a constant rotating beachball for 10 to 15 minutes or longer till I force the program to stop.
All other programs on my Mac work fine.
Evernote (6.11.1) is currently the newest version available is what I am running.

I can open Evernote, go to highlight a word, select anything or start to type and get the beach ball.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program. 

Nothing seems to work.
