Downgraded from beta to normal, now DB is stuck

Recommended Posts

I wanted to remove the beta for more stability. So I overwrote that version with the regular version. But now the database is not compatible. It looks like the one running on the beta app is already updated.

The quickest way to have Evernote running again on my Mac is by reinstalling the latest beta version. So: Where do I find the latest beta version?

Just for the record,  the other option would have been to allow the server to rebuild your database from scratch - I believe Appcleaner is the way to remove all Evernote's current files and prepare for a 'clean' reinstall.  NB this does not preserve Local Notebooks!!

It's risky downgrading the app without downgrading the database and other files

My process is to completely remove Evernote from my Mac
As @gazumped said, I use the app AppCleaner

I install the Evernote app and the database is rebuilt from the servers
Warning: The rebuild does not include Local Notebooks or unsynced notes
