jj34 0 Posted March 22, 2008 Share Posted March 22, 2008 After installing Evernote 3 beta, Evernote_3.0.0.539, when I try to run it, it fails to run and says The procedure entry point MiniDumpWriteDump could not be located in the dynamic link library dbghelp.dll Thinking I'm clever, I find a copy of dbghelp.dll in another part of windows and copy it into Evernote's subdir but it still fails and now says The procedure entry point TzSpecificLocalTimeToSystemTime could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll Fortunately, it did not overwrite version 2.1 so I'm back to that one for now but I'm dying to try out the new features in 3. Stefan 0 Posted March 22, 2008 Share Posted March 22, 2008 I'm guessing you're still using Win2k?That version of Windows does not have the required version of dbghelp installed by default.You can get a more current version directly from Microsoft:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=CD1FC4B2-0885-47F4-AF45-7FD5E14DB6C0&displaylang=enBut I agree that this should not make EN3 throw an error - it should either ship the required dbghelp dll or deactivate the crash handler on Win2k.
