I have just discovered that encrypted content in a note can be easily deleted by anyone who has access to a notebook.
I share several notes with my wife that have somewhat sensitive content, so I encrypt the sensitive content to help ensure that it is not read by someone who might be browsing Evernote on my computer or phone. Even though such a user cannot read the content, they can easily (or accidentally) erase the encrypted content simply highlighting the encryption symbol in the note and hitting the delete key. As best as I can determine, this deleted content cannot be restored. A deleted note can be restored, but I see no way to restore deleted content from within a note.
It seems that if content cannot be opened without an encryption key, it should not be possible to delete the content without the encryption key.
