Hi.  You can't change a notebook,  but you can move notes from a Local notebook into a synced notebook with the same name without any problem.  Go to the Local notebook.  Select all notes.  Move to synced notebook.  Depending on the number and size of notes,  allow time to sync a bunch of new data.

(Actually I'd call the new notebook <oldname>1 or something so I'm sure which is which.  After the notes move across,  change the name)

First thing: you posted in the web client forum, and there's no such thing as a local notebook in the web client. So you must be referring to one of the desktop clients (Windows or Mac). You should specify which one you're using, and then you'll get better advice.

For the Windows client, create the new synced notebook that you want to hold the notes from your local notebook. Then click on the local notebook in the left panel, and then click on a note in the resultant note list. Type Ctrl+A; now you have all of the notes in the local notebook selected, and you should have the multiple note editing panel showing where individual notes usually show (should say "45 Notes Selected"). Click on the button "Move to Notebook..", and select the notebook you want those notes to move to.
