masont00 0
The Cmd+Shift+U shortcut for a bulleted list opens up a finder window instead of creating a bulleted list. Numbered lists work fine. Not sure what's going wrong or how to fix it. Link to comment
Dave Land 14
Hi, @masont00, Is it possible that you've installed or configured something that is taking over Command+Shift+U on your Mac? Often, when I have strange things like this happen, it's because I just installed some (otherwise convenient) tool that takes over a behavior I'm accustomed to. Here are some places to look to see what's up: One place to check is in System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > App Shortcuts Scroll through that list and see if you find an item with ⇧⌘U on the right side. That might be the culprit. Try to remember if you installed any "macro" utilities like Keyboard Maestro, Karabiner, iKey, Butler, FastFox, or others. This page lists a bunch of apps of this type for Mac: see if you recognize any of them as something you recently installed. Good luck, Dave Link to comment

Is there a specific folder Finder is opening at? In Finder, Cmd+Shift+U is the shortcut to open the Utilities folder Just some info - it doesn't solve the problem Link to comment
masont00 0
@Dave Land Thank you for your help. I did have Alfred Installed, so I uninstalled it, and I'm still experiencing the same issue @DTLow The finder window opens to the desktop for me. I really appreciate everyone's help, just really want to get to the bottom of this. Link to comment
