Synchronization via Evernote Helper

It is still a bit frustrating that the Evernote application itself must be open in order to perform synchronization. This should be a function that the Evernote Helper application can perform in the background, as we should not need to have the Evernote application open at all times.

You're referring to the Windows client?

I don't understand your use case: what are you syncing if you don't have the application open? Why is this frustrating? Is it so onerous to keep the Evernote application open all the time?

There's no need to have Evernote open at all times.

The sync process will run when Evernote is started.  This happens all the time with portable devices like notebooks
