Slow after Macbook Air sleeps

Recommended Posts

Hi,
I have a Macbook Air operating with OS X El Capitan and every time I put my computer to sleep or close my laptop screen Evernote runs very slowly. This happens every single time.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program, but that has not worked either.

Has anyone heard of this problem?

Hi.  I assume you mean Evernote runs slowly when you wake the system back up.  Have you tried exiting Evernote before you sleep the system and then restarting it after wakeup?  Have you tried powering off your system and restarting it?

Thanks for the response, gazumped. Yes. I've tried quitting Evernote before I put the computer to sleep. In fact, that's what I do every time I put the computer to sleep.  Since the issue began a couple months ago, I do this almost every time. I've also powered down the system. I've also uninstalled the app and then downloaded it again. That did not help either.

It's worth raising with the Support guys - contact them directly if you're a paying subscriber at https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new (premium subscribers can chat from the same link) - or message them on Twitter via https://twitter.com/evernotehelps

They might suggest reinstalling the app,  or refreshing your database search index,  but in case this is already a known issue I'd suggest you talk to them first...
