When I tried to just download Evernote 6.4.2 as if I was a new user after clicking on the exe file these are the error messages I get.

I'm using the free version so I'm limited to only two devices, Windows laptop and my cell phone.  Don't know if this has anything to do with it but before the new pricing model I never had issues updating to the newer version only after did this problems began.  Would like to know why since nothing on my machine is different nor am I doing anything different than what I did with previous update process.

Hi.  Looks like your update to 6.4.2 was part-finished,  but now it's refusing to go the extra mile and complete the job.  Don't think this has anything to do with pricing models - a blip in the update process can cause this sort of issue anytime.  What you need to do is uninstall the current app and then install the latest version.  I'd suggest you copy your databases folder to your desktop or somewhere safe just in case anything more goes wrong.  Then try a standard uninstall via control panel and see what happens...

Tried to uninstall using REVO and than control panel but wouldn't
uninstall.  Also, the update version I get is for 5.0.3.1614 GA Release
(using now 4.6.7.8409)

Ver. 6.4.2 I downloaded manually and tried to install but (see last 3
links) are the error messages I get when I try the manual install.

I copied the Database folder to desktop, assume that has alll my notes
data. Just curious why I need to do this.  Doesn't Evernote store this data
on the cloud so i can access the same data from multiple devices?

Again, here are the screen shots of all the error messages.

Hmmn.  Now this error is one I don't remember seeing before...

The reason for copying the database folder is to avoid having to download the whole thing again if removing the app accidentally also targets the database too.  It is usually possible to restore it from a download,  but that takes time - depending on how many notes you have - and having your own local coy is just quicker and easier.

In the absemce of any other suggestions here,  and if you haven't already,  I think now is the time to call in the big guns... you can contact Support  on Twitter via https://twitter.com/evernotehelps

There's a bunch of technical stuff about a previous bootstrapper error here -

It's about a much earlier version of Evernote,  but may still point in the right direction.  It is heavily technical though,  so if you have any doubts at all,  try support first...!
