Annotate PDF and take extra notes

Hello,

I'm new to Evernote and I'm considering using Evernote to take notes.

But what I'm wondering: is it possible to annotate a PDF (arrows, underlining,...) and take additional written notes but not in the PDF itself? Of course these notes need to stay with the part of the PDF, they belong to.

Is there a possibility in Evernote to do this?

Thank you!

I can do this on my Mac

I use a two column table.  The PDF is in one column, my notes are in the other

Oh, thank you for this amazing idea. It will taking notes much easier!

Is it also possible on an iPad? Because I have some problems by showing the PDF in the column table.

Sorry, my pdf-table solution doesn't work on the iPad
Evernote/IOS doesn't have an inline display for pdfs

On my iPad Pro, I can open two windows and have the pdf in one window and Evernote in the other
It does let me scroll the pdf, but my notes don't line up with the pdf text

Hey everyone,

i have also a short question regarding this topic.

Is it possible to enter new empty sides in the pdf? because i study and i get some pdf's from the teachers and now i want to do some notes to it. because at the page itself in the pdf is not enough space to do the notes there, thats why i want to add a new side to do the necessary notes.

Or how do you handle pdf's?

Thanks for your help!

Intriguing. How do you manage this with longer PDFs, like ones that have 20 or more pages? Can you provide a sample screenshot?

One downside.  If the pdf is 20,000 lines, I need 20,000 lines on the comment side to keep it lined up
