Work chat not working

I recently downloaded Evernotes (on Saturday).  I shared my notes with 2 people. They have since tried to send me chats but they are getting an error message and I am not receiving any messages.  I also noticed that I am not being notified when a person I have shared my notes with has opened/looked at the notes.  How can I get this fixed?

Hi.  We've been told that new accounts don't have their work chat enabled immediately.  There's a short waiting period to ensure that new accounts aren't being used for spamming purposes.  Give it 24 hours and you should find things are up and running...

There's no set period as far as we know before Chat goes live on a new account - just keep trying!
