Indicate Position of Matching Search Term Inside Note in Sidebar / Scrollbar

Mighty Panda

Idea

When I search for a specific term on a webpage in Google Chrome (by pressing Ctrl+F or Command+F) a small bar on the right hand side of the window appears to indicate the position and number of matches within the page. It would be great if Evernote for Windows and macOS could indicate the number and position of matching search terms in a similar way when I search inside a note. It helps to get immediate feedback as to how many matches there are and aids navigation.

It does, in WIndows at least.  At the bottom of the screen.

Thanks for your reply csihilling! I am referring to the scrollbar on the right hand side which indicates both the number of matches as well as the position (see attached and annotated screenshot). This would be particularly useful for highlights (see Indicate Position and Number of Highlights in Sidebar / Scrollbar) but once available could be used for find inside notes as well.

Yes, you are right, it indicates the position of matches in the scrollbar on Windows but it doesn't do the same on macOS. It would be great if the macOS version could have the same feature.

Sorry for the confusion, I initially wanted to post only one feature request for search (this ticket) and highlights but then split the ticket up and forgot to revise the text accordingly. For highlights it would be handy to have the same indication.
