Thanks for the post

The Linux people might comment on the "every platform", but I agree it's Evernote's strength.
I'm also glad it doesn't limit Evernote either; my example is the scripting interface added on the Mac platform - they built on strengths within the platform

I had to read to find out the "emergent structure" detail, but I agree with you.
I'm happy that I can simply add a note; I don't have to concern myself about the folder/subsubsub-folder to file it under

Absolutely. The thinking is that you make your idea tangible - in an Evernote note. Then, as you encounter new information that's relevant to that topic, you add it to your note. Also, as you return to it during the next week, your brain's power of association takes over as you read what you've captured there - which often spurs additional insights.

I think there are more than 10 reasons to use Evernote. Evernote is often featured as useful software for bloggers. Btw, I was looking recently for a tool to check my texts (I mean readability tool) and saw an article about the best blogging tools where Evernote was mentioned. Of course, that is obvious to put it on the best list but I like that they mentioned it as a tool to order your thoughts.

I have been searching for over 20 years for the ideal idea capture and management tool. Today, I’m pleased to say that Evernote is my tool of choice, enabling me to brainstorm, capture ideas, evaluate them and take action on them. It enables me to be amazingly creative – creating content and information products for two blogs konlinejobs well also holding down a full-time job.
