jshanker 30 Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 This is something I use all the time and only recently had trouble with. I'm having the same trouble across multiple Windows devices so I believe it's something in the latest version of EN Windows Desktop. I'm on Windows 7, multiple desktop and laptop computers. EN ver 6.4.2.3788. Create a new note or open an existing note. Fill the note with enough lines of text to fill the window so it requires a vertical scroll bar. Go to the end of the note. Now hit return a couple of times. You'll see the scroll bar shrink indicating that the number of lines has increased, but you will no longer see your cursor. It's essentially disappeared off the bottom of the screen. You won't see it again unless you go to the TOP and then BOTTOM (CTRL-HOME CTRL-END) or start typing, at which point the view corrects itself. Compare this to the behavior in all other applications, such as Word or Notepad. Hitting return at the bottom of a note always keeps the cursor on the bottom line and moves the text above it further up. It happens that this comes up regularly in the way I take notes, so I'm pretty confident it's a very recent bug.

jshanker 30 Posted January 5, 2017 Author Posted January 5, 2017 Thanks for the confirmation gazumped. I realized another reason it's disconcerting is that I start most of my note entries with CTRL SEMICOLON to insert the date. It happens that that is NOT enough to trigger the scroll. So when you're at the bottom of a note you can hit return twice, CTRL SEMICOLON and return twice again and see nothing from any of it. Very strange.
goforit 1 Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Confirmed the bug as well. I was very upset about having to scroll manually whenever I type a new line. Hope it is being taken care of.

(OS: WINDOWS 7 64BIT KOREAN VERSION ) when can I get update patch ??
TheRealPatPiccolo 0 Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 This is a deal breaker issue for Windows users. The problem does not happen in Evernote_6.2.4.3244.exe so I've uninstalled the newer version and sticking with the old one until I see that this issue is addressed.
