jo7k 2
When annotating a pdf its not possible to vary the font size of text. That really poor. Moreover it should be possible to choose other font characters beside the one with the light shadow. Link to comment
amanda_h 300
Hi @jo7k - What device are you using to annotate PDFs? You should be able to both change the font size and remove the shadow effect. I can post some screenshots using the device you typically use for more clarity. Link to comment
jo7k 2
Thanks, that should help I lot, because I didn't find where to change the characters. I mainly use the Mac desktop version. Link to comment
Solution amanda_h 300 Posted December 9, 2016 Solution Share Posted December 9, 2016 Hey @jo7k - Here are a couple gifs showing how you can change the font size, and remove the shadow effect. I hope that helps! 2 3 Link to comment
Peyton Stafford 3
I want to thank Amanda H, since this is an issue I have been struggling with in my research. I often download PDFs of articles and then need to annotate them, but the default annotation font is often too large and certainly does not need a snazzy outline around it. The people I share these notes with are smart. They don't need flashing lights in their eyes to understand that they should read something and get back to me. Her explanation and GIFs showed me how to use Evernote much better. If Evernote were to add a great feature for me, it would be to do these annotations in a sidebar outside of the margins of each PDF or article, so I could add them as footnotes or comments rather than trying to squeeze them into the margins.
