I am a long-time Evernote premium user. I strongly recommend improving the functionality of emailing a note to other party(ies). Specifically, I would like to see the capability to open my default email client and attach a PDF of the note. As it is now, I'm not sure the note goes out and there is no audit trail to review, whereas all mail clients have some way to organize your communications.

Am I missing something?

As a work-around, you can email to yourself and then forward the email to the intended recipients
I also prefer to use my personal email service

Yes, but why should I have to use a workaround? Most free apps offer this functionality, including One Note -- I pay a fair amount of money for Evernote Premium. I'm thinking of switching.

Life is full of compromises
You may switch products, and then find you need work-arounds with it.

It the meantime, you have submitted a feature request
If it gets enough user votes, it will be identified as a priority and Evernote may develop a solution
