Using search term "reminderTime" without excluding notes without reminders

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have created a custom search which search for notes within a specific notebook and with one or more specific tag. It looks like this and works just fine:

notebook:"Actions Pending" tag:"11 Home"

Now, my plan was to extend the search, so all notes with a due date tomorrow and onwards was excluded, so I tried this:

notebook:"Actions Pending" tag:"11 Home" -reminderTime:day+1

However, it seems like the search term "-reminderTime:day+1" also excludes all notes without any reminder at all, which I dont want. So, is it possible to make a single search in Evernote for notes with a due date of today or earlier as well as notes without any reminders?

Your search is also going to retrieve completed tasks
You might want to add     -reminderDoneTime:*

Sorry, Search doesn't allow you to compound searches like you need (and/or)

I also use Reminder Date for my tasks, but my current tasks all have a reminder date.
When reviewing my current task list, I don't want to look at tasks with no date

Even if there's no hard due date;
- if I'm working on a task, I assign it the current date
- If I put off a task until next week, I change the due date to next week

During project reviews, tasks get added; tasks get assigned a date

So I guess my answer is for you to use a two step process
First step is to review and assign reminder dates to your tasks
