Note history of shared notebook

I currently have a Premium subscription of Evernote, and I am able to see the note history of my own documents, however in shared notebooks of which I am not the owner I cannot see the history.

Is there a way to enable this, or is it turned off by default? Note history is a very useful feature to me.

As you noted, the Premium Note History does not apply to notebooks shared with you.

I maintain my own Note History as part of my backup process.
This runs on my Mac, using the applescript documented here
My process runs each night and exports all notes changed that day.  
- They are in html format, and accumulate on a cloud drive
