(Archived) Integration of Contacts from online email providers

As a devout Gmail user, and a huge fan of their contacts feature, it would be so very handy to be able to access my Gmail contacts when emailing a note out of Evernote. Is there any development on a feature like this?

I agree that this is a useful feature. I go around by sending the email to my gmail account and then forward from there. I have to admit it is not a huge burden since the email from EN is very prompt.

If I want to share an Evernote I also send it first to my gmail account and then onto others as I cannot always remember what the exact email addresses of my friends or colleagues are. Despite this being reasonably fast, it is a waste of time and annoying that it is taking such a long time before Evernote developers are paying attention to add this feature, which is so commonly used nowadays. Of course, this does not mean that Evernote is not an awesome tool.
