Hi everyone,

I am receiving the following error message when I try to synchronize a newly installed copy of EverNote Beta Version 3.0.0.525 (25900) on a new WinXP PC. After I installed the app I was able to login but the Synchronization fails.

Any ideas?

I'm getting exactly the same thing. I'm behind an ISA proxy, so could it be something to do with that?

Actually, I was getting the same thing, but today it seems to be getting stuck at "authenticating". Here's what the authentication log says:

Same problem here. Below is my log of two attemps, with different results. Between the first attempt and the second I started IE7 and had to authenticate for the server, so that might explain the first failed attempt:

I was encountering this same error on my office PC running WinXP SP2 and Evernote beta 3.0.0.550 (27500), also behind an ISA Firewall. It seems the ISA server's Web Proxy Filter is the cause, as it enforces certain limits on the HTTP traffic passing by it. I have an existing rule in the firewall for a group of known-good sites that bypasses all user authentication and has very loose HTTP filtering rules (Max URL length = 16383, Max query length = 16384). I added *.evernote.com to the Domain Name Set on that rule and the syncing started working. This might not be a possible workaround for everyone, as you'd need access to the firewall (I'm the IT manager here, so it works for me).

For those interested, I'd be happy to post the specific steps you need to follow to create such a rule on your ISA Server.
