#168549 UGH... Functionality over prettiness please!

Posted deanouellette on 09 November 2012 - 05:12 PM

Love you evernote, but this new mac update is not as easy to use. I have a Real Estate Stack that I create notebooks for my clients. I just want to be able to right click on the stack on the left and create a notebook quickly again. Please bring that back!! Pretty please? Dont make a grown man grovel

#150985 Dual Monitors

Posted deanouellette on 26 July 2012 - 03:07 AM

I use two monitors most of the time, not sure what you are asking here. When you open it on one you should be able to drag it to the other, but I dont think that is what you are asking. Can you clarify?

#146743 Can you attach a note to a note?

Posted deanouellette on 25 June 2012 - 02:09 AM

Not exactly sure what you are looking to do exactly. If you have one note and looking to be able to get to it with one click you can do note linking.

So if I am understanding you correctly you can have the lesson plan note, have a separate note that has your reflections, then create a link from one to the other.

Or if you want them both in one note you can do a note merge, but that will alter the original note.

I lost 45 pounds in the last year... i have been stuck, not really trying to lose more, but looking to lose another 10.. this could be the motivation i need to get back in it. How about starting, this could be it, a thread we use for support and trash talking!

#146573 How can I get an Evernote into dropbox

Posted deanouellette on 23 June 2012 - 07:37 PM

Correct me if I am wrong here GM because i hope there is an easier way I am missing... in this case

she needs to upload a contract into the program we need to use online
she goes to the shared notebook, downloads it to her computer and goes to the 3rd party program then uploads.

In my scenario she goes straight to the 3rd party program and just uploads it from dropbox, saves a step. And when you need to do that step 30 times a week it adds up

#145362 Evernote Data Usage discripency

Posted deanouellette on 16 June 2012 - 08:09 PM

Exactly what GM said. Just want to add you can pay to upgrade this month for more space and if you do not need it next month you can cancel as it is month to month.

But warning... You may be like me and find out it is such a good deal you will never want to cancel.

Good luck

On the desktop version click on information in top right and it gives you word count

#144511 Using EN for To Do/GTD - Am I asking too much?

Posted deanouellette on 12 June 2012 - 03:36 PM

And Daniel did not say this, but I will say it for him, if you really want to use Evernote for GTD get his book. It is grossly underpriced and a manual for exactly how to set up the system

I started playing with the ifttt about two weeks ago. So awesome. Not only for grabbing blog posts, and sending emails into Evernote but also great for grabbing my daily Dilbert! Thanks for turning me onto this everyone.

And wait until you do a search for a word and in the results comes a hand note you took a picture of.... Then the love affair grows even more.

#132857 My Evernote - Notebooks or Tags - Hoping for some advice

Posted deanouellette on 08 April 2012 - 03:02 AM

I'm the same way dump everything into inbox then process. Over the last month I have been cutting waaaay back on notebooks the exception being client notebooks I need to keep them separate to share with client and business partner. But most everything else in just a few notebooks and nesting tags.
