Basically, if I don't get that green Ferrari they've been promising me for years I am going to write a VERY STRONGLY worded blogpost and point all my twitter followers to it.

#204377 Bitcoin payment for premium

Given what's been said, it seems to be very unlikely in the near future.
Well, don't be so pessimistic, saying "most likely no" is easy, but Evernote has yet to talk officially about their stance towards Bitcoin.
There is a difference between realism and pessimism. Heather may have posted her own opinion (and made it very clear that it's her opinion and not evernote's), but I would imagine that Heather is absolutely one of the people who would be involved in deciding whether accepting bitcoin is a good strategy.
Anyway, if you like the Evernote service, then pay for it, if you don't then don't.
#204055 Free version - per Evernote - no SSL encryption?

I'm pretty sure that they have been all SSL for sometime now.
Their documentation for most things is still pretty dreadful, looks like you've found another error.
What you going to use instead JB?

I've flagged it for the Head of Technical Support and the main Community bloke on here and just been on chat and pointed them at this thread so they know about it.
I'm still syncing fine - just rubbing it in.
#203231 Feature Request : Remove Limit On Children Notebook Stacks
Posted

This really has been discussed an awful lot on here, if you search you will find a number of threads.
The basic facts appear to be that Evernote do not currently wish to offer any further depth in hierarchy for notes, notebooks and stacks. Given that there have recently been major releases across a number of platforms it doesn't appear that this is going to change. So without meaning to sound harsh, if you want to use Evernote then you have to learn to deal with this paradigm, otherwise there may be a better app out there for you.

If you are having a problem with the iOS app then the first thing you should do (after making sure you don't have any notes on your device that need syncing) is to delete the app from your device and iTunes. Then download the app to iTunes and install from there. This seems to fix a multitude of sins.
By the way, you get exactly the same support as a free user as premiums do, you just have to wait for premium users to be handled first.

Sorry - misunderstood you.
In the Help menu you can see Release Notes.
There are a couple of places on the web that keep older versions - Google is your friend.

No real value in bumping one of your own threads (and it's not great forum etiquette).

This is a user forum, I think if you want a specific answer you should open a support case.
By the way, I'm sure it's nothing to do with using the iPhone client, I bet the Chrome clipper has just been updated...
#201218 Encrypting text on an iPad with Evernote - Is it Possible? How?

I'm not sure how you know that there is no technical reason, unless of course you have access to the Evernote code. Despite the conspiracy theories that occasionally rage around here I don't think that Evernote have a hidden agenda, apart from the one about the spaceship they keep under Libin's house.

Apple hide the Library folder by default.
Open Finder, then hold down the alt/option key and select the Go menu, the Library will appear in the menu.

I'm not saying whether it's a good or bad idea - what I am pointing out as a long term user is that Evernote do have a pretty clear design philosophy based around providing little user configuration of the clients.
Again, I'm not saying it's right or wrong, I'm just saying that this has been the pattern that they have (pretty successfully) built a business around and so I'm not saying it will never change, but I can't see it changing in the near future.
As for the maintenance and support issue, every time you add a new feature or new option you add new test cases, multiply your test cases by the number of clients that Evernote currently supports (with more coming...fridges....) then you end up with an increased workload.

I'd seriously hope that they don't say anything - any information they give would be more useful to those wishing to repeat the hack than it would be to us as users.
We have to assume that they are focused on security and are throwing as much weight behind being as secure as possible, the negative publicity that was generated recently must have hurt them more than anything they've suffered before. However, the reality is that at some point in the future they will be hacked again and so we as grown ups need to decide for ourselves what we store in a cloud service and how we store it (encrypted or not).
