Images opening with Quicktime?

06 March 2011 - 12:48 AM

Recently begun trying Evernote, running desktop version 4.2.2.3913 on W7 Ultimate 64 bit.

I created a snapshot note via my Android app.  Later, I checked the note on the desktop app and no matter what I tell it to open the image (JPG) with, it opens Quicktime Picture Viewer but the picture doesn't appear, just the QPV without an image.  My default program is the Windows Photo viewer, and the picture opens fine when I save it to the desktop and double click it.  I can right click and tell it to open with Irfanview, Paint, Photoshop, whatever - QPV opens but doesn't show the image.

When I uninstall Quicktime, the image opens with my default program but won't with anything else.  I hate QT but I need it for occasional things and I can't keep installing and uninstalling.  Any fixes out there?
