  1. Advice stands. It’s not like the world’s problems are getting solved here. Or it’s going to affect your credit score.
  2. Opposite of Nike - Just Don't Respond.
  3. Hard to say back then, but I think speed may have been a software issue as well. The hardware simply over powered the problem, caching or whatever it might have been.. I think this as just about anyone who switched to SSD saw significant speed improvement. Electron gets mixed reviews and I am not knowledgeable to have an informed opinion. I do have an opinion on having to phone home for all activities though. If sync is not right now then searches are incomplete post changes, for some time, from seconds to many seconds. If a use case involves editing and searching in succession, not so good. A local client and database never had the issue for me. Sync lag and the loss of local notebooks with V10 were enough to get me to exit. 🤷‍♂️
  4. Wow. Not so much. In the early 20 teens these forums were rife with speed complaints. Solution in those days was to upgrade to SSD. Actually, speed issues back in the day were mostly fixed with hardware not software. Just setting the record straight.
  5. Though if you want to be able to search the contents of an encrypted file something like Mega cloud storage works. You can index the files and protect them how you like locally. Your files will sync to other devices and be secure. Though on iDevices only file name is searchable. FWIW.
  6. I always thought this was an interesting choice by EN. Was surprised they didn't change the data structure for all and create 2 wrappers to supply the clients. One for Legacy and one for V10. Still need to sunset Legacy but maybe a smoother transition. Or maybe this was more BS post acquisition. Don't know, I lost focus a bit at the end of 2021.
  7. Export by notebook to import by notebook. 235 files in your case.
  8. Not sure it had anything to do with agile. More it was taking so long and the pressure was on to release something. Stuff happens when you have investors. 🤷‍♂️
  9. Don't forget, in addition, EN timeboxed V10 so they could get something released. I forget the specific posts but there was definite mention of delaying some functions so as to release something. That was when not complete with no roadmap as to what complete meant hit the market, in Q4 2020.
  10. I made the decision in 2021 not to wait for V10 to achieve functional parity, pre BS. I thought it unlikely and was sure local notebooks weren’t coming back in any case. So I moved on at the end of 2021. A hard decision but function drove it. I have been coming back to the forums to check V10 progress. Still misses the mark for my use case. No drama, it is what it is.
  11. Add Microsoft 365 to the mix to confuse things. $100 for some software and 6 TB of space for family. For me app feature trumps storage, so not really a meaningful compare. Storage to storage with storage specific features a different story. But that's just me.
  12. Comparing EN and cloud storage companies is a bit of apples and oranges isn't it? Unless one used EN simply as a file repository I suppose. Not an existential question, but do folks buy EN for storage or function?
  13. Most of the time I print to PDF now. Sometimes I will use Awesome screenshot and its cropping/save to PDF capability. FWIW.
