  1. This might be right, but i can neither confirm nor deny. I'm using evernote since 2010, but I never used it on multiple computers in parallel. On the other hand I switched my computer several times during this 14 years and I don't remember losing tag colors during the migration.
  2. Thank you for this information, this indeed makes the handling of tags more practical.
  3. thank you for your suggestion. i tried it, it indeed works, against the lack of visual feedback of selecting multiple tags but this is not a real equivalent to the legacy "Assign tags..." popup where i could easily unify the tags for multiple notes at once.
  4. this comes very close to the "good old" tag coloring feature. still searchable, and the cards view shows colors. i guess, i'll need to go through my colored tags and add an emoji to them. question: why the underscore? tags cannot have spaces?
  5. I'm in the process of switching from the old Evernote Legacy app to the new Evernote Desktop app. There are a few missing features that I loved in the old app. This is one of them. Copy tags from one note to another (Assign tags) In the old evernote legacy app, the "Assign tags" function (Ctrl-Alt-T) made it very easy: to see the tags of multiple selected notes and to copy the tags from one not to another or to a bunch of other notes In the new Evernote Desktop app a similar function exists (same shortcut Ctrl-Alt-T), but it shows all existing tags, not only the ones that are relevant to the selected notes. This makes it very difficult to do what I used to do in the old legacy app very often: select two or more notes make sure they all have the same tags
  6. I'm in the process of switching from the old Evernote Legacy app to the new Evernote Desktop app. There are a few missing features that I loved in the old app. This is one of them. Tag colors I've put quite an effort in making nice and meaningful coloring of my tags i loved the way legacy app indicated the existence of tags with colors:
  7. Windows OS Name Microsoft Windows 10 Pro Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045 Evernote Desktop 10.79.3-win-ddl-public (20240307101007) Editor: v177.6.1 Service: v1.95.0 Browser Chrome - Version 122.0.6261.112 (Official Build) (64-bit) Repro steps: open Evernote Desktop app view the list of all notes, sort by creation date descending open Chrome go to evernote.com log in create new note in inbox notebook titled "My new note" let the browser app save the note reload Evernote Web app in Chrome using Ctrl+F5 to make sure "My new note" has been saved to the server leave computer on, leave Evernote Desktop app and Chrome running go to sleep ... next day morning check the list of notes in Evernote Desktop app "My new note" is not there switch to inbox notebook in Evernote Desktop app "My new note" is not there search for "*" "My new note" appears on the top of the list
  8. i'm using windows desktop app, ios app and browser app in parallel. my windows desktop app does not show new notes created in other platforms. workaround: if i do a search for "*" in desktop app, it recognizes that there were new notes created and shows them. but this should be automatic, without me searching for "*" regularly.
  9. same for me, not fully consistent though: pasting simply formatted text typically does not cause this pasting images always causes that cursor automatically goes back to the top of the note after the paste operation pasting bulleted, formatted content is more likely to cause the issue
  10. +1 for collapsible outlining (representing users grown up using microsoft word outline view and microsoft onenote bullets)
