data backup - backup copy - backup file...

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm a new begenner, I'd like to use Evernote.

But first, because I'm an old man and I know that "impossible" can ever happens...

I'd ask how making backup copy from 'Evernote' to a backup disk (like USB key or anything else like that).

Who can help me to try that ?

Thanks,

Sorry for my "frenchy kitchen english" :P

What client are you using? Please search the board on backup. This has been discussed a lot.

With Evernote Windows, here is the process I use.

In Evernote, select

>Tools >Options >General Tab >Open Database Folder

Copy the .exb file in the Databases folder

I prefer to copy everything in the Databases folder just to be on the safe side.

I'd endorse the 'copy everything' point of view - just had the unhappy experience of having to do this myself,  and copying the EXB on its own gave me errors when I tried to run the 'restored' database.  Copying that file alone has been the understood process,  but I'm all for belt and braces (suspenders?) protection!
