tianlye 15
Hi, Any Pebble users here? I am interested to develop an app that will push your evernote note as a watchface and is wondering if anyone would buy it. It will have a simple workflow - 1) User search for the note2) Select the note he wants3) Edit 4) Generate (done on a backend server) 5) Install on watch. This will be done on iOS firstComments anyone? Link to comment
tianlye 15
Hmm, not much pebble users here? Haha... Link to comment
Level 5* GrumpyMonkey 4,319 Posted May 6, 2013 Level 5* Share Posted May 6, 2013 It doesn't exist yet, so I'd be surprised if there were any users. I'm mildly interested, but I'm not terribly enthisiastic about all of this watch stuff yet, so maybe I'm unrepresentative.I want all kinds of stuff like a minimalistic (fast) interface along the lines of notational velocity (Mac) or fastever (iOS) with the ability to use and edit offline notes, markdown support, batch operations on iOS, etc., etc. Watch faces are somewhere around the bottom of any list of stuff I'd like to see. Level 5 jbenson2 2,147 Posted May 6, 2013 Level 5 Share Posted May 6, 2013 I'm glad I'm not in the watch business. I hardly see anyone wearing a watch nowadays. With the popularity of smart phones, watches have taken the same road as the buggy whip. Link to comment
tianlye 15
I have to agree that I am seeing lesser and lesser people wearing a watch as their phone is a very expensive watch as it is!Guess I will see what I can do with this then. Haha. Thanks for the feedback. I thought it might make a nice devcup material thought Link to comment
jonathanparham 0
I'd be interested. Now there is Galaxy Gear with an Evernote app. I believe there is also watchnote for pebble that will synch with evernote. I'm thinking of a Pebble and wouldn't mind an Evernote app for it. Galaxy Gear is expensive and not waterproof currently. Link to comment
chriskirwan 1
This is a great idea! I've just come online to see if there is a solution for this and basically no! (Unless using android) I am a big Evernote user and would love to view and delete all my Evernote notes on my Pebble! It would be great to see Evernote develop this idea Link to comment
Level 5 jbenson2 2,147 Posted February 1, 2014 Level 5 Share Posted February 1, 2014 The Pebble reviews are not very promising. In April, CNET editors gave it a 3 out of 5 rating and said "it’s more a tinkerer’s tech toy than a must-have timepiece."Ouch. Link to comment
chriskirwan 1
I agree back at the beginning of last year... But pebble is much better now especially on iOS! Definite market for it! 1 Link to comment
Mike Stirrat 0
Evernote put a Pebble app in the 2.0 Android App Store recently. It is really nice work. http://forums.getpebble.com/discussion/comment/97043/#Comment_97043 Link to comment
