FEATURE REQUEST: YouTube Thumbnail

DVM

Recommended Posts

I found a "work around" for this issue. Create a recipe in IFTTT with an "if" of YouTube, tagged "Watch It Later, and a "then" of Evernote (you can also just search for recipe # 78798).

The only downside to this is that you can't get the full description of the video to automatically appear in your notes but between the title and thumbnail it makes for a much nicer looking "note".

IMO, this is overkill.  I normally just take a screen grab & add a link to the video.

Thanks, but I'll stick with my "one click" option (after several initial clicks to set it up!).   ;)

That's fine. Mine is two clicks. And I've grown less fond of using upon other apps, if I can do it myself just as easily. Just recently, FeedMyInbox (a third party app PAID for to feed stuff to my EN account) went under.

Hello,

I would like to propose a feature for Evernote that doesn't exist and really bugs me a lot.

Sometimes youtube videos are reference I would like to place among text references. But pasting an URL within a note doesn't provide a rich experience as Evernote could provide.

My proposal is this: Copy Facebook behavior of setting a preview of an Youtube video when you paste an URL in Status Feedback...

Simple as that: User copies an URL, goes to Evernote, Create a new note or pick up an existing one and pastes Youtbe URL, Evernote parses that URL and creates a small thumbnail similar to what Facebook already does when we share youtube URLs within our posts.

That's it. That's what I would like to have in a newer version of Evernote!

I also support this idea. I have posted minutes ago a similar request.

This would empower Evernote a LOT. Youtube content is driven by movie thumbnails and description and not by URLs.

Having a Thumbnail + description + URL would be great to build reference research material.
