REQUEST: highlight and adjust font color on mobile

Idea

Hi I have a feature request that seems incredibly obvious to me and am quite shocked its not included already. The ability to highlight and change font color from a mobile device is very important to almost all forms of note taking and I am very sure all Evernote mobile users would greatly appreciate this option. It is already implemented in the desktop suite but not on the mobile side. It couldn't be to incredibly difficult to carry his feature over to mobile devices. This is my primary desire for mobile editing of notes, but because the mobile apps do not currently support this, Evernote is essentially limited to a note viewer and I must use desktop portals to create and edit notes with highlights and modified font colors.

I have the same request. I am trying to use evernote to take notes from my computer science class on my tablet and it's pretty helpful to be able to visually set apart pseudo or actual code. A button with font color could be added to the existing toolbar that lets you change to bold, italics, etc.

+1Yes, there a lot of basic features that are implemented in Windows, etc. that we are still waiting for in the Android app. Alas Evernote still seems to see Android as a mostly view only tool and not a key data entry, if not management tool. I hope once they get Evernote Business up and running smoothly that they will get back to improving the end user apps, especially the Android app which always seems to be at the bottom of their list. Other features missing are indent (you can only indent when using lists), insert date and time and, I believe, copying a note (eg. so you can have a template note and use a copy for a new specific notes)

This is the same problem I have. Why don't they have font colour andother formatting system on Android app? It's crazy without it. From Windows if we colour or highlight important points and if we try to add any comment to that note, the whole note turns into non coloured, non highlighted page and it effects the windows as well when it synchronizes. I lost all my valuable info which was highlighted and coloured. I had to do it again and had to make sure, I wont use the mobile app to add any even at an emergency.

Hey Evernote Product Dev Managers- what gives?  So many things are awesome, and you've created a very useful app ... but I see comments on (lack of) font color on iOS dating back to early 2012.  Font color is important and is not regarded as rocket science.  I have to believe your mobile app dev team is "agile", right?  Show us some love and agility here and cut them loose on adding font color to the iOS and Android versions and you will make a lot of customers happier than they are.  I suspect they could knock it out in a short sprint if you would let them have at it.

Thanks

Typical User:

Just a reminder of the forum code of conduct, and as is common in most online communities:

5. Don’t overdo it.

Try to refrain from double posting, topic bumping or spamming the forum with copied/repeated posts. Flagrant abuse will get you a warning, then a temporary ban if you keep it up.

As to your point, it is a reasonable suggestion on the face of it. Along with a lot of other reasonable suggestions that have been made, we'll see if Evernote chooses to implement it or not.
